wedding at casa adela

If you’re on the hunt for a wedding venue that feels like a home away from home, let me introduce you to Casa Adela in San Miguel de Allende. This stunning property, just a short drive from the heart of San Miguel, is like stepping back in time with its colonial architecture, gorgeous gardens, and a central patio that’s straight-up perfect for a wedding reception. I recently had the absolute pleasure of capturing Miriam and Fulbert’s big day here, and let me tell you, it was nothing absolutely amazing.

The Perfect Way To Start

The day kicked off bright and early with all the wedding prep. I started by hanging out with Fulbert, our groom for the day. He was chilling with his groomsmen, having some lunch before the real fun began. Once they were all fueled up, it was time to get suited up. Fulbert looked like a million bucks in his classic tuxedo, and his crew wasn’t far behind, all decked out in sharp black suits.

Meanwhile, Miriam, our stunning bride, was in full-on glam mode with her bridesmaids. They were all in matching pajamas, getting their makeup done, and yeah, maybe enjoying a little tequila to shake off those wedding jitters. Once Miriam slipped into her gorgeous gown, we did a bridesmaids’ first look, which was full of laughs and a few happy tears.

The First Look

Now, let’s talk about the first look. Fulbert was standing there, trying to keep it together, and when Miriam walked up, well, let’s just say there were no dry eyes. The love between these two was so obvious, it made my job of capturing it almost too easy.

After that emotional moment, we headed to the gardens for some family and bridal party portraits. Casa Adela has so many incredible spots, it was hard to pick just one! Once we wrapped up the portraits, Miriam and Fulbert had a little surprise for each other. Miriam gifted Fulbert a pair of Converse sneakers with their wedding date, and Fulbert gave Miriam a framed LEGO version of them. How cool is that? And of course, what better way to toast to those surprises than with another tequila shot with the whole bridal party?

A Ceremony to Remember

The ceremony took place in the garden, with perfect sunlight casting a golden glow on the couple as they exchanged their vows. It was a short and sweet ceremony, but packed with all the feels. You could tell everyone was completely wrapped up in the moment.

As soon as the “I dos” were done, the guests moved on to the cocktail hour while I stole away with Miriam and Fulbert for their formal photo session. Having done their engagement session a few months earlier, they were total pros in front of the camera. We walked around the place to make sure we got different scenarios and backdrops for the pictures.

Let’s Party: Dancing, Mezcal, and a Whole Lot of Fun

And then it was time to party! After a delicious dinner and some heartwarming speeches, the dance floor opened up, and let me tell you, it was packed all night. There was even a dance battle at one point, people were really feeling the vibe! With great music, plenty of drinks, and their closest friends around, this was a party for the books. There was even a Mezcal tasting station.

Huge shoutout to the Bougainvillea team for planning such an epic wedding. They really pulled out all the stops to make this day as perfect as possible.
