Claudia & Felix’s Big Day: Cowboy Vibes and Good Times
When Claudia and Felix first reached out to me, they told me they’ll be having a cowboy wedding. I was excited right away. They had this amazing dress code, some awesome ideas, and a vibe that sounded totally them. I could tell this was going to be one of those weddings people talk about for years, and men, I wasn’t wrong. Every little detail was perfect, and the whole day just had this amazing energy that made it unforgettable.
Getting Ready at Hacienda el Carmen
The day kicked off at Hacienda el Carmen, and honestly, this place was straight-up perfect for their cowboy wedding theme. The old hacienda vibe, with its arches and rustic charm, made everything feel so special right from the start.
Felix got ready in his room with a little help from his brother and his dog, of course! He looked amazing in his custom made charro suit. Over in another suite, Claudia was getting ready with her mom, mother-in-law, and a few close family members. Everything felt chill and relaxed, which gave them plenty of time to enjoy the morning without rushing around.
First Look Magic
Their first look happened right there at the hacienda, and wow, was it a good call. The whole place was so photogenic, every corner was perfect for pictures. From the courtyards to the arches, we didn’t have to look far to find the most amazing spots.
A Grand Entrance: Ceremony in Etzatlán
Next up, we headed to Etzatlán, a small, charming town where Felix’s family is from. The ceremony was in this super cute little church, and Felix made quite the entrance, riding a horse with his crew. Talk about making an impression for a cowboy wedding!
The ceremony was simple and beautiful, and the exit? Pure gold. Felix’s uncles and cousins lined up, holding their hats to create a tunnel for the newlyweds to walk through. It was such a fun, unique moment that had everyone smiling and cheering.
Reception Goals: Sunset Pics, Family Touches, and Epic Fashion
After the ceremony, we made our way to the reception. The venue was just minutes away and had the best views of the town. Guests were greeted with beers and cantaritos (classic Mexican style drinks), which really set the mood.
The setup was next level. Two long tables were decked out with the most beautiful decor, and overhead was a handmade woven roof that Felix’s mom and grandma made themselves. How cool is that? It was such a personal, thoughtful touch that tied the whole look together.
One thing that really stood out? The guests. Everyone took the dress code seriously, and it showed. From custom boots to elegant cowboy hats, it looked like a full-on fashion show. Everywhere you turned, there was someone who looked like they stepped right out of a western style magazine, it was amazing, a truly cowboy wedding!
Right before dinner, Claudia changed into her reception dress and was absolutely glowing. We snuck in some sunset photos, and honestly, they couldn’t have turned out better. These two were so natural together, it was clear they were just having the best time.
Party Time: The Dance Floor Went Wild
Then came the party, and wow, these people knew how to throw down. The dance floor was packed all night. Everyone was dancing, singing, and just letting loose like there was no tomorrow. The energy was insane, in the best way. You couldn’t help but join in the fun!
What a Day
Claudia and Felix’s cowboy wedding wasn’t just a party; it was an experience. From the cowboy vibes to the handmade details, the killer fashion, and the epic dance floor moments, everything came together to make their day so them. I feel so lucky I got to be their destination wedding photographer, and honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever forget this one.
