Destination wedding in Germany

Today, I’m excited to share the story of Birute and David’s breathtaking destination wedding in Germany, just outside Munich at the beautiful Gut Sedlbrunn estate.

Like all the best destination weddings, the celebration began the day before with a warm and festive welcome party. Birute is originally from Lithuania, David is German, and together they’ve lived in different countries over the years. Their love for travel and culture brought together guests from all over the world, creating an incredible, international atmosphere. Having your favorite people around? Always a good idea

Getting Ready: Champagne, Chatter & Anticipation

Birute got ready in a salon of the hotel, surrounded by her bridesmaids. The air was buzzing with excitement, the champagne was flowing, and the laughter never stopped, it was the perfect start to a magical day.

Meanwhile, David was in his room with his dad and a few close friends, putting on finishing touches and making sure everything ran smoothly.

Ceremony Time: A Church Wedding With Heart

The couple chose not to do a first look before the ceremony, they wanted that traditional, emotional moment of seeing each other for the first time at the altar. And it was so worth it.

The ceremony was held in a nearby church where all the guests were already waiting. It was a beautiful, traditional Christian wedding. For me, even without speaking German,I was able to read every smile, every glance, this was love in its purest form.

Their exit? One for the books. All the guests lined up outside, showering them with confetti as they stepped into their new chapter as husband and wife.

A German Wedding Venue with Elegant Charm

Back at Gut Sedlbrunn, everything was perfectly styled for the reception. The setting was elegant, cozy, and full of charm, think rustic luxury meets destination chic.

As guests enjoyed cocktails on the lawn, we wandered around the property for some stunning portraits. The soft evening light, the quiet joy of just-married love, it made for some truly unforgettable photos.

Dinner, Dancing & Global Vibes

Dinner was served in a beautifully decorated hall, and the speeches were heartfelt, emotional, and full of laughter and of course, a few happy tears. You could feel how deeply loved Birute and David are.

Then came the first dance, and with it, the party officially began! The dance floor filled up instantly and stayed packed all night. The live music came from a fantastic duet living in Germany, originally from Guatemala, another perfect international touch that made this night one of a kind.

Final Thoughts

Birute and David’s wedding was more than just a celebration, it was a reflection of who they are: world-travelers, deeply in love, and surrounded by a beautiful community. And honestly, this is one of the reasons why I love being an international wedding photographer, no two love stories or destinations are ever the same.

If you’re dreaming of a destination wedding in Germany, let this be your inspiration: a mix of tradition, personal touches, international energy, and a venue that makes your heart skip a beat.
