Elopement in St. Lucia:
A Magical 2-Day Adventure
Eloping is always a great idea, and doing it in St. Lucia is an unforgettable experience. I recently had the pleasure of photographing the elopement of Yolanda and Brett, a couple from Australia, and it was absolutely stunning. Here’s a glimpse into their special day, and at the end some tips for those considering an elopement in St. Lucia.
A Beautiful Elopement by the Beach
The couple arrived in St. Lucia a couple of days before the elopement. On the big day, she got ready in the spa while he prepared in their room, keeping their first look for the ceremony. The ceremony was held at 11 am right on the beach. The serene backdrop of the calm beach by the Pitons mountains, provided the perfect setting for them to exchange vows and rings. After the ceremony, they celebrated with champagne and we did a little photo session in a jungle spot within the resort.
We took a break to have some food before embarking on a scenic tour of the island. Our first stop was the town of Soufrière, where we captured some great photos in the streets and of the town. As the day ended, we returned to the resort to catch the sunset, followed by a romantic dinner on the beach.
Exploring St. Lucia’s Natural Wonders
The next day was focused on the adventure. We began at the Diamond Botanical Gardens, exploring the vibrant flora and capturing stunning photographs next the waterfall. Then we headed up on one of the Pitons, where we enjoyed breathtaking views and of course we took more pictures. On our way back, we stopped at a village pier for some final shots before returning to the resort. The day concluded with sunset pictures and the couple jumping into the water, creating unforgettable memories.
Eloping in St. Lucia was a dream come true for this couple, providing an unforgettable adventure and beautiful memories. Whether you choose to elope or have a traditional wedding, the most important thing is to create a day that reflects your love and commitment. This elopement was in the stunning Sugar Beach Resort, and it truly was a unique experience.
