A quick trip, and the perfect chance for a session

Engagement session in Puerto Vallarta with Raquel and Cesar? Yes, please. These two were planning their destination wedding here, so when they came down to see everything in person, we took advantage of the trip and did this sweet little session. It turned out to be such a fun, relaxed, and meaningful experience.

A way to connect before the wedding

It was the perfect way to celebrate their engagement, and such a great chance to build a real connection between the couple and the photographer. As a wedding photographer, I can say that these sessions work like a little rehearsal, so by the time the wedding comes, the chemistry is already there and we’re no longer strangers.

Starting in Zona Romántica

We started in the Zona Romántica, one of my favorite areas in Puerto Vallarta. It’s part of the old town, with cobblestone streets, super colorful buildings, and all the charm that makes this spot so iconic. We walked a few blocks, exploring and finding the best spots for photos, then I drove them to Conchas Chinas, my favorite beach for pictures in Puerto Vallarta, because of the amazing rock formations and the way the sunsets hit differently there.

We kept things relaxed and unposed, just letting them be themselves, laugh, and enjoy the moment. That’s one of the best parts of doing an engagement session in Puerto Vallarta, it never feels rushed, and there are so many beautiful spots to explore. Even a short session like this can give us so much variety in just a couple of hours.

Wardrobe switch and beach vibes

Raquel changed dresses at some point, just to switch up the colors and match the vibe of the location, and honestly, it was such a great call, she looked stunning. Cesar went for a more casual look, keeping it comfy with shorts, and I have to say, that was definitely the right choice.

Sunset magic during their engagement session in Puerto Vallarta

In Conchas Chinas the session flowed so naturally, it turned into a super romantic moment for the two of them. When the sun set, it started getting dark, and that was our finishing point.
