A Jungle Hike for the Most Epic Post-Wedding Session

How about taking a hike through the jungle, with one goal, finding the most breathtaking spot for your jungle beach wedding photos?

That’s exactly what we did for Marion and Hunter! I had the honor of photographing their wedding in PuertoVallarta, and it was absolutely amazing. But while their venue was stunning, it wasn’t on the beach. So, I suggested, “Would you be up for dressing up again a couple of days after the wedding and taking a little trip to an incredible beach for a session?” They didn’t even hesitate, they were all in!

Hiking Through the Jungle in Wedding Attire? Challenge Accepted!

Two days after their wedding, I picked them up, and we hit the highway toward Sayulita. We parked as close as possible to our location, but there was still a 30 minute hike ahead of us, including a trek up a jungle-covered mountain. But trust me, every step was worth it!

The plan was to carry their wedding attire in a backpack and change once we reached the beach. But as we were crossing through the jungle, I spotted some stunning photo locations we just couldn’t pass up. So, they threw on their wedding outfits right there, and yes, they hiked through the jungle dressed as a bride and groom. Challenge accepted and conquered!

A Dreamy Beach in Sayulita

This session was absolutely magical. The weather was a little overcast (which, honestly, was perfect for photos), and Marion and Hunter were beyond excited to discover this hidden beach, and even explore Sayulita, with its unique vibe, great restaurants, and colorful streets.
