couple walking on a garden during their wedding

Weddings are always full of special moments, but this one, was something else. Marisa and Raphael made their day one to remember, and I was lucky enough to capture all the love, laughter, and tears. From the first look to the dance floor, where they were quite literally lifted off their feet, it was a wedding for the books!

The Day Before: Rehearsal Dinner in Punta Mita

Before we dive into the big day, I’ve got to mention the rehearsal dinner the night before. It was at a restaurant in Punta Mita, and it was the perfect way to break the ice with all the guests. We even took some time for a casual photoshoot, nothing too formal, just capturing Marisa and Raphael in their element. Honestly, this little session was the best kind of “practice” for the wedding. I got to see how they interact in front of the camera, and they got a feel for how I work. By the time the wedding day rolled around, everything flowed super smoothly!

Pre-Wedding Vibes: Getting ready for the Happily Ever After

The day kicked off back at their hotel, where Marisa had her makeup and hair done, chilling with her squad, while Raphael was suiting up, getting himself ready for the day. As soon as they arrived at the venue, Marisa slipped into her dress, and I got to say, she looked like a princess.

Meanwhile, Raphael was doing what guys do best, hanging out with his crew and having some shots in the other room. Once both of them were looking like they stepped out of a wedding magazine, we headed to the first look.

The First Look: A Quiet Moment Before the Celebration

Now, let me tell you, Marisa is on the shy side, so having this first look in private was perfect. She was a little nervous, but the second Raphael turned around and saw her, his whole face lit up. He’s a bit more outgoing, and their personalities balanced each other so well. We snapped a few pictures in the garden, I mean, they looked too good not to! These two nailed the ‘sharp but in love’ vibe.

The Ceremony: All the Feels

After the first look, it was time for the main event. The guests started arriving, and we all gathered in the ceremony area. During the ceremony both of their moms said beautiful words that left Marisa in tears, seriously, not a dry eye in the house. And then came the vows. Let’s just say that everyone was feeling the love! The way these two look at each other, you could tell they were meant to be.

Sunset Magic and the Perfect Reception

Once the ceremony wrapped up, guests headed to the cocktail hour (hello, margaritas!), but before Marisa and Raphael could join, we snuck off to the beach for some golden hour magic. Sunset photos on the beach? Always a win. They were laughing, having a blast, and it felt like their own little escape before the party really started. I made sure we were quick, though, don’t want them missing out on all those cocktails!

Dancing, Fireworks, and a Lift in the Air

The reception was as lively as you’d expect. Between heartfelt speeches, a delicious dinner, and then the real fun, the dancing, it was nonstop energy. it came time for their first dance, the whole sky lit up with fireworks. Yeah, it was that kind of night!

And with that, they opened the dance floor which was packed all night long, Marisa switched into a new dress, and she looked incredible (again). To top it all off, this was a Jewish wedding, so of course the Hora had to happened, they had the traditional moment where Marisa and Raphael got lifted up in chairs while everyone danced around them. Easily my favorite part of the night, there’s just something about that pure joy and chaos that makes me love what I do.

It was such a privilege to be part of Marisa and Raphael’s special day. From the tearful moments to the epic party, this Tizate Garden wedding is one I’ll never forget.
