A Celebration by the Sea, Yezy & Carlos Wedding
Yezy and Carlos Puerto Vallarta wedding at La Mansion was seriously one of the coolest weddings I’ve shot. They chose Puerto Vallarta because Carlos spent part of his childhood there, and it just felt right. Plus, the place is gorgeous, with those epic sunsets that make you wanna stay forever.
Pre-Wedding Fun on the Water
One of the best parts of doing a destination wedding? The party doesn’t just happen on the wedding day. These two started the celebration with a party boat the day before the wedding. All the guests meet up at “Playa Los Muertos” pier (right in the middle of Puerto Vallarta, super easy to find), and everyone hops on this catamaran. From there, it’s all about chilling—people were jumping into the water, some tried paddle boarding (with varying degrees of success, haha), and others just soaked up the sun. It was a total icebreaker; everyone was already in party mode before the big day even arrived. Seriously, if you’re thinking about ways to kick off your wedding festivities, this is a killer idea.
The Wedding Day
Okay, so the actual wedding day was at this villa called La Mansion, which is located between Conchas Chinas and Mismaloya. This place is stunning—it’s got these insane views, and it’s really easy to get to, so no stress about logistics. Yezy and Carlos started their day with their squads. The girls were sipping on champagne in their matching pajamas, and the guys were in another room trying to play it cool.
They decided to do a private first look, which I always think is the way to go. It’s just them, no one else around, so the reactions are super real. After that, they exchanged vows in private too, which added this extra layer of intimacy to the day.
A Ceremony with All the Feels
The ceremony took place in the villa’s garden, it was short, sweet, and full of meaning. They exchanged rings, got the blessing, and then walked back down the aisle to the sound of a Mariachi. Let me tell you, having a Mariachi at a Mexican wedding is a must, it just sets the vibe. They kept playing through the cocktail hour, so guests got to enjoy the music while sipping drinks and taking pics.
Sunset Photos and an Epic Reception
Right after the ceremony, we slipped away for some photos while the sun was setting, the best time for that golden hour magic. The villa has these amazing spots, so we got some killer shots before heading back to the reception.
Speaking of the reception, they set it up right next to the ocean. Imagine having dinner with the sound of waves in the background, it doesn’t get much better. The first dance was straight out of a movie, with lights strung up above and even fireworks to cap it off.
But here’s the kicker, Yezy’s family is from South Korea, and they brought the energy to the dance floor. These guys knew how to party, and the dance floor was packed all night. They had the coolest late-night snacks—ramen from Yezy’s side and churros from Carlos’ side. It was such a great way to mix their cultures and keep everyone fueled for more dancing.
So yeah, if you’re thinking about Puerto Vallarta for your wedding, I’d say go for it. You can have this amazing mix of fun, relaxation, and those personal touches that make the day feel totally yours. Plus, the scenery’s a dream, and you can keep the celebration going for more than just one day. This beautiful wedding was planned and coordinated by the talented Prisarweddings team, I can’t recommend their work enough.
