A Magical Celebration in the Heart of Mexico
Paige and Hunter’s San Miguel de Allende wedding was nothing short of spectacular. Set at the stunning Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada hotel, their day was a perfect blend of romance, tradition, and joyful celebration.
Pre-Wedding Fun: Casual Photos and Welcoming Vibes
As usual, we met up the day before their wedding for a relaxed photo session before their welcome party. Wandering through the charming streets of San Miguel de Allende, it was clear, Paige and Hunter were ready to say “I do”!
The cobblestone streets, colorful walls, and lively atmosphere gave us the perfect backdrop for casual and candid shots.
Getting Ready: Mimosas, Mezcal, and Big Smiles
On the wedding day, Paige got ready at the hotel alongside her bridesmaids. It was a relaxed morning filled with mimosas, good music, and the best energy. Paige looked like an absolute princess in her gorgeous gown!
Meanwhile, Hunter was just a few steps away, getting ready at an Airbnb next to the hotel. Together with his groomsmen, they kicked off the day with mezcal shots, Habana cigars, and the best energy you could imagine. The matching hangers for their suits were such a thoughtful, stylish touch!
First Look and Couple’s Portraits
Once they were both ready, it was time for their first look. The emotions were high as we explored the hotel’s beautiful spaces and even ventured into the cobblestone streets of San Miguel de Allende for more portraits. The overcast skies created the dreamiest, soft lighting, I couldn’t ask for a better day!
The Ceremony: Intimate and Emotional
The ceremony took place on one of the hotel’s charming terraces. Though short and sweet, it was filled with heartfelt moments. But the real highlight came right after…
Callejoneada: A Parade to Remember!
As soon as they said “I do,” we all spilled into the streets for an amazing callejoneada, a traditional Mexican wedding parade! Complete with massive mojigangas (giant puppets), a mariachi band, and even a donkey leading the way, it was truly an unforgettable experience.
Honestly, if have a San Miguel de Allende wedding and you don’t have a donkey leading your callejoneada, are you even doing it right?
The Reception: A Night Full of Energy
Returning to the hotel, guests were welcomed into a stunningly decorated reception. The party kicked off with delicious food, heartfelt speeches, and a packed dance floor that stayed lively all night long.
The energy was contagious, everyone was having the time of their lives, and it was a night hard to forget.
This amazing wedding was planned by Gaby from Boda San Miguel, she’s best!
