Puerto Vallarta Wedding

Let’s talk about this awesome Puerto Vallarta wedding. Everything happened in two beautiful spots. The day started at Hotel Mousai, where the couple got ready and had their ceremony. This hotel has incredible views and tons of perfect photo spots. After that, everyone moved to Hacienda Palo María for the cocktail and reception. It’s just across the street and has a totally different, more traditional vibe.

Getting to Know the Couple

I met Raquel and César a few months before their Puerto Vallarta wedding when they came to town to check out venues. We did their engagement session, and grabbed dinner together. So by the time the wedding came around, it felt like I was shooting a friend’s big day.

Getting Ready at Hotel Mousai

Raquel got ready in one of the hotel suites with her girls. She looked stunning from the beginning, and the energy in the room was so good. Everyone was laughing, helping each other out, and just enjoying the moment.

César was in a different suite with his guys. Things moved quicker over there. He got dressed in a sharp suit and looked ready to go. His groomsmen skipped the jackets and wore matching suspenders, which looked great and was perfect for the warm weather.

First Look at TierraLuna Gardens

Before the ceremony, we did a first look at TierraLuna Gardens, right inside the hotel property. The terrace where they saw each other for the first time was beautiful, surrounded by jungle and ocean views. These two looked amazing together, and you could feel how happy and excited they were. After that, the bridal party joined us for group photos, which worked out super well before things got busy later on.

A Ceremony with a View

The ceremony took place at TierraLuna’s main terrace, up on a little hill with one of the best views in Puerto Vallarta. The space has a big palapa-style roof and feels open and tropical. One of César’s groomsmen was the officiant, which made everything feel more personal. The couple exchanged vows and rings, had their first kiss, and made their way out smiling the whole time.

While guests got on the shuttle to head to the reception, we stayed back to take some portraits around the venue. There’s even a little carousel tucked into the property, which made for some fun and unique shots.

Reception at Hacienda Palo María

Once we got to Hacienda Palo María, guests were already enjoying cocktail hour with a live mariachi band playing. This place is right by the ocean, with insane views and tons of charm. The decoration was next-level and everything looked amazing.

Dinner kicked off with a few speeches that had everyone laughing. I love when speeches feel relaxed and real, and these totally hit the mark. The vibe stayed super fun and casual, which made it easy for everyone to just enjoy the night.

First Dance, Party Time, and Tacos

Raquel and César had their first dance surrounded by warm lights and happy faces. From there, it was full-on party mode. The dance floor stayed packed all night, and people were having the time of their lives.

They wrapped up their Puerto Vallarta wedding with a couple of local classics, tacos al pastor and Mexican churros. Honestly, the perfect way to end the day.

This Puerto Vallarta wedding was planned by Prisar Weddings and her awesome team. Always a pleasure working with people who care so much about the experience and the details.
